Basic Information: The CoreNAS is a storage device that operates on your Network taking 15 minute snapshot backups of your servers. Unlike old tape systems, you never need to swap anything out, it is all done automatically and verified with email notifications. In the event of data loss, your support person can easily mount the image and restore the file(s) up to the last incremental (15 minute max loss time). Up to 1 month of data is stored on the NAS Optionally the data can also be stored offsite nightly with co-location facilities on the East and West Coast.

The really cool feature of the CoreNAS is it’s ability to virtualize any of the backups. So in case of a catastrophic server loss, such as a powersupply or motherboard going bad ... the CoreNAS can “boot” up the backup and virtualize your server for almost no downtime. While the virtual server is running, the old server can be replaced or repaired and then rebuilt from the virtual server for 0 data loss. |
